Worst case is the DICE bricked itself (I've been sure not to attempt any firmware updates), and I see no reason why it should have failed. I'm hoping that the problem is a botched install killing a proper DICE driver install, which kills the recognition of the DICE. But now it too does not recognize any DICE being plugged in (I cannot attach the device). The DICE and VIDA worked okay using an older version (2012D) in XP mode. My hope is that these problems are all related since they all seemed to appear at once. Device manager never shows the DICE device too. most people who have bricked their DICE seem to describe a blinking red state. The DICE boots but the firmware light goes to a red solid state. I'm not sure why it would, but it acts like I plug nothing in when I plug it in.
I cannot seem to find a 2014B patch (by reinstalling and deleting. Also the patch I have says for VIDA 2014A (not B). Windows asks if everything installed okay, because it isn't sure.
#2 When I install the patch it shows some error at some point, but seems to continue.
